Frequently Asked Questions - and Answers
How wide can you make material?
| |
We can produce materials up to 1.6 metres (63") wide on our main process
machine and 300mm (12") on our pilot plant.
Most of our product is supplied as roll goods.
Can you cut to size?
| |
Yes, we can slit mother rolls to narrower widths or cut discs and other shapes.
What is your normal production lead time?
| |
We ask for 8 weeks lead time, but standard items can usually be supplied sooner.
Can you test?
| |
Yes our laboratories are fully equipped and we keep a close check on both the
quality of the raw materials we use and, of course, the quality of the materials we
produce.
We carry out standard adsorption tests to ensure our products meet specification
and can do comparative tests where relevant.
How do you ensure quality?
| |
Purification Products has been ISO 9001 qualified since 1993 and prior to that was
AWUAP 4 qualified for defence supply purposes. We have therefore had the
necessary checks and balances in place for a long time.
How long will it last?
| |
Everyone asks this question - and our answer is: - it depends on the circumstances.
Obviously if the material is exposed to a lot of unpleasant gases it will last less time than
material in a better environment ... You often do not notice when it is working -
but you certainly notice when it is not!
What makes your product different?
| |
Our materials retain 95% of the powder's activity after processing and are clean
and easy to handle with very low dusting.
Powders have much faster adsorption kinetics than granules (up to 8 times) and
therefore work much quicker.
