Purification Products Limited introduces new material incorporating X-STATIC® - The Silver Fiber™
Purification Products Limited from Shipley, West Yorkshire UK is pleased to announce the introduction of its new material codenamed X54 which incorporates both X-STATIC silver fibre technology and Activated Carbon powder. X-STATIC, the very well respected Silver fibre from Noble Biomaterials of Scranton, Pennsylvania USA has been successfully incorporated into Purification Products latest Activated Carbon material. The X54 material exhibits excellent permeability, softness and the expected "clean powder" characteristics of material from Purification Products Limited. |

Barry Moakes, the Sales Director of Purification Products Limited said: "This new material represents the culmination of a long development cycle and successfully marries the silver coated X-STATIC silver fibre with our World Leading powder impregnation technology. It enables us to offer material which could be used in face masks, shoe liners, wound dressings and many other areas. It incorporates the advantages of Activated Carbon together with the anti-microbial characteristics of the X-STATIC silver fibre". The material has already undergone lab testing which has shown that it inhibits the growth of MRSA.
This product represents the first step in a new series of exciting developments which includes the development of a soon to be launched filtration material to remove carbon dioxide and materials containing nano-particles. |

19 April 2006 Purification Products Limited celebrated fifteen years on its site in Shipley. Managing Director Quentin Mackenzie said: "When we first moved here, it was a credit to all involved that we were only out of action for two weeks. Given the complexity of our process and development machinery, this was a truly remarkable feat. Our decision to re-locate to Shipley, closer to the major UK towns of Leeds and Bradford meant that we could take advantage of improved logistics for our Worldwide customer base." |

Technical Textile Show, Atlanta, Georgia, USA - March 2006 Purification Products Limited recently exhibited at the Technical Textile Show TECHTEXTIL in Atlanta where there was a lot of interest in our products. Techtextil is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwoven materials and focuses on the higher end of the performance and application spectrum of technical textiles. About 300 international exhibitors were present at the Cobb Galleria over the three day exhibition. Virtually all facets of the industry were represented. Purification Products had some in-depth discussions with prospective clients and several exciting new areas for development were identified. These products are now already at the prototype stage. |

12 March 2002 Purification Products Limited celebrated 20 years as a separate Company. Managing Director and major shareholder Quentin Mackenzie said: "We have come a very long way in the past 20 years from our roots in the Paper Industry. We are now one of the foremost innovators and manufacturers in our field and have a reputation for quality and value which others find hard to equal. Our goal for the next 20 years is to accelerate the growth of the Company." |

We have developed a new material for protection against Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) gas. Customer testing has shown that it performs well. |

Recently, one of our materials has been used to remove diesel fumes from around the engine bay of a yacht and has been shown to be a very effective method of controlling this odour. |
